Global & National Issues

Companies & environmental impactsthe GreenInc blog (NY Times site) talked about a U.N. report (yet to be released) that reportedly found “the world’s top 3,000 companies cause $2.2T in environmental damage per year.”

GHG emission limits for USG – the federal government will reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by 28% by 2020, maybe (signed executive order).

Texas vs. EPA (vs. Massachusetts?) – the EPA’s finding on GHGs has been challenged by the state of Texas. Note that the EPA’s finding was stimulated by a decision in favor of the state of Massachusetts – by the U.S. Supreme Court (not mentioned in the Houston Chronicle article, but danged relevant).
