Companies & environmental impacts – the
GreenInc blog (NY Times site) talked about a U.N. report (yet to be released)
that reportedly found “the world’s top 3,000 companies cause $2.2T in environmental
damage per year.”
GHG emission limits for USG – the federal government will reduce
its greenhouse gas emissions by 28% by 2020, maybe (signed
executive order).
Texas vs. EPA (vs. Massachusetts?) – the EPA’s
finding on GHGs has been challenged by the state of Texas. Note that the EPA’s
finding was stimulated by a decision in favor of the state of Massachusetts
– by the U.S. Supreme Court (not mentioned in the Houston Chronicle article,
but danged relevant).

Bringing employees on board – a Foundation study disclosed that
“environmental and sustainability employee education and engagement initiatives
can boost the bottom line, reduce environmental impacts, and help retain and
attract talent.” GreenBiz.com.
Flexible automation – “packaging sustainability balances economic
prosperity with environmental and social responsibility,” according to Control
Engineering.
Growing corporate green teams – the manager of eBay’s employee
Green Team wrote a piece
about “bringing renewed purpose to the workplace.”
